Civilization V + Gods and Kings

Complexity high, it's close to impossible to control everything, so you seamlessly move from details into more macro-strategic perspective during the game, I suppose. The only problem I have with this game is that it takes too much time. Difficulty is probably punishing at higher settings. I like the new ideas. Some details:

  • every unit may be transformed into boat, no need to build dedicated transports, eventually only need guards,
  • city-states are very helpful and interesting,
  • diplomacy seems more forgiving, however who knows...
  • diplomatic deals outrageous as usual, but a good money could be obtained with extra luxury resources,
  • no more roads at every tile I guess,
  • world wonders are fine and rewarding,
  • maps seems overcrowded with terrain resources, maybe because there are so many types,
  • naval units move quite fast,
  • I miss close-up to the city: it was nice to look at.
Graphics: I guess wonder postcards were more rewarding in previous installments of the series, however my sight could be corrupted.
Sound: more symphonic music could be even better.
Playability: an excellent candidate for OneGameForALifetime, replayablity seems to be infinite.
